Choosing dark sky friendly lighting can help reduce light pollution that can threaten our ecosystem and quality of life.

• Using fully shielded lighting fixtures ensures that no stray light escapes to light up the sky rather than the ground. It also helps to not create a glare for passerby’s.

• Using motion sensors, dimmers, and timers helps reduce the illumination

• Using LED lighting does not compromise visibility and reduces illumination

• Avoid blue lights at night due to increased glare and harm to wildlife

Dark Skies Matter. Children Are Our Future.

Astronomy was the first science, created by curious humans looking up in awe at changes in the night sky.

We owe it to our children to provide them with equal opportunities for observation and science by bringing back our night sky.
